The autumn days when the English park transforms into a kingdom of color and the fragrant St George Forest entices you to come for a walk will soon be upon us. Autumn at Chateau Mcely is primarily a season of gastronomic delights. Guests at the Piano Nobile restaurant can look forward to specialties featuring seasonal ingredients as well as our autumn à la carte menu, available from October 1.
During the first weekend in November (Oct. 31 – Nov. 2), we’ll once again be serving a special pumpkin menu. We won’t forget about carving jack o’ lanterns, which decorate most everyone’s terrace or garden in the area. Children and adults alike can take part in traditional pumpkin carving on the afternoon of November 1, and take home a scary souvenir to decorate your home.
From November 11 to 16, the traditional Feast of St. Martin will take place. The menu will of course feature our traditional golden roast goose with potato pancakes, kohlrabi cabbage, almonds and a St. Martin’s wine reduction, as well as goose pâte with chateau plum marmalade.
If Mother Nature is kind to us and our snail farm continues to be as productive as it has been, snail gourmets will be in heaven during the first half of November, when we’ll be offering our long-awaited snail specialties.
We’ll also be featuring some new products and procedures at the natural herbal Mcely Spa.
During the state holidays in October and November, guests can come for a nice long weekend, a well-deserved autumn break or a mini-holiday with the children with our special 3 nights for the price of 2 offer.
