Mr. Valas has over ten years experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Board member of prestigious industrial companies including Vitkovice, Vitkovice Steel and Mittal Steel Ostrava, among others.
Mr. Valas most recently has been the Chief Executive Officer of Kordarna, Velka nad Velickou, where he was responsible for the successful reorganization of the company which was in insolvency proceedings before he joined the company as CEO. Mr. Valas brings very valuable experience from large industrial operations as well as first hand experience in working with multiple banks for restructuring of companies facing difficult financial situations.
Mr. Valas is a graduate of Technical University Ostrava and holds both Masters and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Economics. He also has performed post graduate management studies at universities in England and the United States.
