Based on a vote, almost two thirds (61%) of entrepreneurs, companies and experts have decided that the winner of the Act of the Year 2015 survey on the best legislative act of the previous year is the Transparency of the Treatment of Public Finances (Contract Register). Securing a considerable margin, it drew ahead of the amendment to the Accounting Act, which was voted for by 15% of the entrepreneurs, or the amendment to the Act on Free Access to Information, voted for by 12% of the entrepreneurs. These are the conclusions of the seventh edition of the Act of the Year survey conducted by Ambruz & Dark Deloitte Legal in cooperation with the survey’s partners. This year’s vote saw the participation of 273 representatives of the business sector.

Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) today announced fiscal 2016 Q4 results. Total Q4 Revenues were $10.6 billion, down 1% in U.S. dollars and flat in constant currency. Cloud plus On-Premise Software Revenues were $8.4 billion, flat in U.S. dollars and up 2% in constant currency. Cloud software as a service (SaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) revenues were $690 million, up 66% in U.S. dollars and up 68% in constant currency. Total Cloud revenues, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), were $859 million, up 49% in U.S. dollars and up 51% in constant currency. Operating Income was $4.0 billion, and Operating Margin was 37%. Non-GAAP Operating Income was $4.8 billion, and the non-GAAP Operating Margin was 45%. Net Income was $2.8 billion while non-GAAP Net Income was $3.4 billion. Earnings Per Share was $0.66, while non-GAAP Earnings Per Share was $0.81. Without the impact of the U.S. dollar strengthening compared to foreign currencies, Oracle's reported GAAP Earnings Per Share would have been 2 cents higher and non-GAAP Earnings Per Share would have been 1 cent higher.

In June 2013, they walked into the office of the former Prime Minister Petr Nečas and announced to him that they are taking into custody some of his colleagues and co-workers, including his lover, Chief of Staff and now wife Jana. Nečas managed to resist for a few more days until giving in to the public pressure. Now it seems that Mr. Šlachta can very well bring down another government, although not by arresting anyone, but simply by resigning over an issue that seems to divide once again the current coalition.

After a terrible start to 2016 and recovery by the end of March, the second quarter has not brought any clear trend. The result season for Q116 came rather as a mild disappointment, and rising expectations of the Fed’s potential interest rate hike in June reduced stock prices to grow. However, U.S. payrolls and higher volatility connected with the Chinese economy buried these expectations. Uncertainty ahead of the Brexit referendum was also headwind to increasing equity markets, and the MSCI World index is now moving close to a level at the end of March.
