The average occupancy of Prague hotels and room rates increased last year. Average annual revenue per room increased by more than 10%. It was one of the best results among European cities. It´s shown in the results of an annual PwC study "European Cities Hotel Forecast 2013".

During their university studies, Czech students are very active in seeking work opportunities to gain professional experience– two-thirds (68%) had an internship during their studies. More than half of respondents (55%) have temporary jobs on an occasional or a regular basis, 48% gain experience through internships in their major and 44% make extra money through temporary jobs outside their major. The most important criteria for selecting an internship and employment include an opportunity to learn, develop and gain professional experience. These are the key findings of Deloitte's third First Steps into the Labour Market report, which includes input from over 4,000 students across 11 different countries in the Central European region.

Digital strategy, including, for instance, the use of social networks, blogs, web or mobile applications, is of special interest to companies operating mainly in the telecommunication and banking sectors, followed by insurance companies, lottery companies and betting offices. Contrarily, power companies and pharmaceutical companies pay only minimal attention to digital strategies. These are the results of a new study entitled “Digital Business: an Opportunity or a Bubble?” released by Deloitte Czech Republic. The study objective was to map the use of digital technology in individual industries at the end of 2012.

New York/Prague - Executives at the world's largest Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) companies consider compliance with the implementation of a 2013 security strategy and roadmap to be the most significant driver for improving information security, according to the new TMT Global Security study released by Deloitte. The study also reveals that companies have started to recognise information security as a fundamental business issue, with companies increasingly focusing on cyber resilience, not just security.
Czech companies most often use a combination of a fixed monthly salary and remuneration determined on the basis of the achieved economic results of the company. This finding follows from an exclusive study of the Deloitte Corporate Governance Centre and the Czech Institute of Directors (CIoD), which monitored the current state of Corporate Governance in the Czech Republic.
