American company onsemi is considering large investments in the Czech Republic. We are betting on the future of electric cars, says the head of the chip company

At the age of 17, Hassane El-Khoury emigrated from Lebanon to the USA. He now runs onsemi, a global chip manufacturer that has one of its flagship plants in the Czech Republic and is considering further major investments here.
Ten million chips a day have been produced in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm for several years. And there will be even more. The multinational company onsemi is investing billions of crowns in expanding production there and, with the possible help of the Czech government, is willing to take the Roznov plant much further.
