Clifford Chance advises Atrium on the sale of Optima Košice

Clifford Chance has advised Atrium European Real Estate in relation to a divestment of Optima, shopping centre located in Košice, Slovakia. The property was acquired by a joint venture of two Slovak shopping centre investors for EUR 118 million. This transaction marks both the largest investment transaction and the largest financing in Slovakia so far this year.
Atrium European Real Estate is a leading owner and operator of shopping centres and residential rental properties in Central Europe and a member of G City group. Atrium owns 26 income producing properties with a total gross leasable area of over 760 square metres and with a total market value of approximately EUR 2.3 billion.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Real Estate Partner Emil Holub and Counsel Milan Rákosník. They were further supported by Associate Josef Lysoněk and Junior Lawyer Šimon Dušek. The Slovak team was led by Senior Associate Stanislav Holec, who was further assisted by Associate Andrej Havko.
