Clifford Chance advises Česká spořitelna and Československá obchodní banka in relation to refinancing of Kofola

Clifford Chance has advised Česká spořitelna, a.s. and Československá obchodní banka, a. s. in relation to the existing financing for Kofola ČeskoSlovensko and several of its subsidiaries, including the accession of a new borrower, the Slovenian company Radenska. The banks made available a new credit line of up to CZK 1 billion to Kofola ČeskoSlovensko for its future investments and growth in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and other countries and implemented more efficient and flexible management structure of the currency risk.
Kofola ČeskoSlovensko is a major manufacturer and distributor of soft drinks in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its signature product, Kofola, was created in 1960 and is popular amongst Czech and Slovak consumers ever since.
The Clifford Chance team supervised by Partner Miloš Felgr has been consistently involved in the financing for Kofola ČeskoSlovensko since 2017, the current transaction was led by Senior Associate Hana Čekalová supported by Associate Bára Bečvářová, Junior Lawyer Anna Kalašnikovová and Senior Associate Stanislav Holec advising on Slovak aspects of the transaction.
