Clifford Chance advises Československá obchodní banka on the financing of Enery's acquisition of another solarpark

The Prague office of Clifford Chance advised Československá obchodní banka (ČSOB), one of the major Czech banks, on the financing of the acquisition of Solarpark Kameničná by Enery Development. This marks yet another successful acquisition financing of Enery Development completed with the legal support of Clifford Chance.
The Banking & Finance team of Clifford Chance extends a previous cooperation with ČSOB and Enery Development. In 2021, the team advised ČSOB on the refinancing of the Czech solar portfolio consisting of 5 photovoltaic power plants acquired in 2020 for the Czech subsidiaries of the Enery Development group.
As one of Europe’s largest renewable energy generators, Enery Development acquires, develops, builds, and operates renewable energy plants throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Working with companies, utilities, and governments, Enery Development is helping to reduce Europe’s dependence on fossil fuels and embrace cleaner and more sustainable forms of energy.
The transaction was led by senior associate Hana Čekalová, under the supervision of managing partner Miloš Felgr. The team also included junior lawyer Ondřej Šteco.
