Company: Dentons Europe CS LLP, organizační složka

Global law firm Dentons advised Ciklum, a global product engineering and digital services company, on its acquisition of CN Group, a Czech-based software development firm, from Genesis Capital, one of the leading private equity funds in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The parties have agreed not to disclose the deal value.

CN Group is a leader in nearshore agile software development with professional engineering teams in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania, and five nearshore delivery locations in central Europe. It focuses on software engineering, IT consulting and mechanical design engineering, serving customers across more than seven markets.

Ciklum is a global player that works with leading brands across 30+ countries.  Through this acquisition, the combined company will become one of the largest digital transformation providers in the CEE region.

Partners Petr Zákoucký and Adam Mycyk and associate Vojtěch Novák led Dentons’ legal team on the transaction.  The team included associates Michael Mráček, Anna Urbanová, Petr Műller, Radek Novák, Jan Sedlák, Justina Bodláková, Jan Tylš, Michal Pelikán, Tomáš Jonáš, Tomáš Syrový and Barbora Obračajová in Prague; partner Claudiu Munteanu Jipescu, counsel Argentina Rafail and Cristina Marcu, and senior associate Luiza Onofrei in Bucharest; and counsel Linda Mendelová, associates Jan Dulovic, Sona Kurillová and paralegal Michal Distler in Bratislava.

Petr Zákoucký commented, “We are delighted to have advised Ciklum on this transaction and played a role in supporting their strategic plans in CEE.”

Adam Mycyk added: “Leveraging our cross-border M&A and IT capabilities, we were able to support the client in gaining access to new markets, expanding its capabilities and resources, and accelerating its growth and digitalization in the region.”
