The transactional team of the Prague law firm Eversheds Sutherland advised SILON s.r.o. on the acquisition of the recycling company PESL spol. s r.o.
SILON s.r.o. is a major company in the field of compounding founded in 1950 and operates two production plants in the Czech Republic and the USA. The acquired company PESL spol. s r.o. with a 30-year history is transferred to the SILON Group with all assets including employees and technology. The company will now operate under the name SILON CZ Recycling s.r.o. and will continue to provide recycling services to customers.
The Eversheds Sutherland team of Bořivoj Líbal, senior associate Lola Florianová and associate Jan Houlík assisted the client in the legal due diligence in acquisition of the target company and provided legal support in the preparation and negotiation of the transaction documentation and in the settlement of the entire transaction.
According to the CEO of SILON s.r.o., Mr. Shukhrat Saidov, this acquisition is a significant milestone in the SILON Group's expansion strategy, demonstrating the Group's commitment to the circular economy and the Group's goal to influence the efficiency of plastics recycling in Europe. "Given the unexpected complications that life sometimes brings and that arose during the closing of the transaction, I am extremely pleased that we were able to complete everything properly together with our client.
