EY in the Czech Republic has expanded its services to include comprehensive Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Advisory. The company is making use of its synergies in accounting, tax and regulatory advisory, transaction services, legal, risk management and assurance. The Czech team is joining EY’s global WAM network and will utilize not only local experts, but a pool of 15 000 WAM experts worldwide. EY has also recently strengthened its ranks by adding Alena Šebestová, a leading regulatory and funds asset management expert.
„Focusing on WAM allows us to answer specific needs of our clients, by offering synergetic solutions. After all, almost all of EY’s service lines have expertise and experience relevant to some aspects of wealth and asset management“, Martin Majdloch, Partner for Financial Services Advisory at EY in the Czech Republic.
EY in the Czech Republic recently significantly strengthened its WAM team, particularly in the area of investment funds, asset management and pensions, by welcoming on board Alena Šebestová, who between 2003 and 2017 worked at the Securities Commission, the Czech National Bank and at the European platforms ESMA and EIOPA. „By strengthening our team and expanding our services we are reacting to a growing demand from our customers in the area of comprehensive capital markets solutions“, Martin Majdloch added.
Alena Šebestová welcomes her new role: „If investors and financial institutions want to grow and increase their returns in our complicated regulatory environment, they need to consider a comprehensive approach, whether it concerns operating models, new products or increasing efficiency.”
EY’s WAM services are targeted for financial institutions (insurance companies, investment and pension funds, trusts, banks, brokers, depositaries, etc.) as well as individual clients (companies, private equity, families and foundations) and public institutions (municipalities, public funds including EU funds).
