Labour market in motion: 2024: Mid-year Market review

12.08.2024
Company: Hays Czech Republic s.r.o.

Where does the labour market stand at the midpoint of 2024? Welcome to the latest report from Hays Czech Republic.

We have compared data from the end of 2023 with the current one to see how companies and employees manage to fulfill their plans, and also to identify outliers and try to uncover any reasons for these deviations. As an outcome, we bring an interesting comparison that provides an up-to-date report on the challenges employers and employees are currently facing and how the labour market situation may change and evolve further over the course of the year.

In the employer survey, we focused on the following areas in particular:

  • The state of the labour market in terms of planned recruitment and availability of candidates
  • Wage developments
  • Motivational factors for attracting and retaining talent

We then surveyed employees and job seekers on the following:

  • Job satisfaction and challenges in finding a new job
  • Changes in compensation
  • Willingness and motivation to change jobs
