The Mazars consulting company has received the most prestigious corporate recognition in the 7th annual “ČSOB Tax Advisor and Tax Firm of the Year” awards and has become the “Most Desirable Tax Employer” based on voting by the public. Mazars’ tax advisor Petr Drahoš also took away an individual award from the ceremony, which took place on 16 February in the Hotel International. As one of the nominees with the most votes, he defended, for the second time, his selection for the “Dream Tax Office” (which contains 7 experts with the greatest number of votes in the Brightest Tax Star and Brightest Rising Tax Star categories). Drahoš, an expert in the area of value added tax, received his award in a category which is voted on by his peers.
The prestigious competition of tax specialists in the state and commercial spheres features a total of ten categories – Most Desirable Tax Employer, Most Helpful Revenue Authority, Best Tax Teachers, Brightest Tax Stars in the individual specialisations, Brightest Rising Tax Stars, Dream Tax Office, Dream Revenue Authority, Tax Personality of the Year, Tax Plum and Tax Lemon. The winners are chosen through voting over the Internet by the lay and professional public, who sent in more than 8000 votes for the 106 nominated tax specialists.
“Our company truly appreciates this prestigious award. We see the result as proof that the professional education in our company is well established, that we are able to motivate our employees properly and that there is a team spirit at work here. This all contributes to the fact that we are able to train high-quality professionals, who are authorities and examples for potential job applicants in Mazars’ Tax Department,” Jaroslav Křivánek, the Partner of Mazars’ Tax Department, who personally accepted the award, stated during the award ceremony.
“The high quality of our advisors is also shown by the many individual awards that our people have received in this and in previous years. Because of this we have registered that the number of people applying to us for jobs has increased each and every year. This positive feedback is a huge commitment for us to maintain the high quality of our services in the future, as well,” commented Pavel Klein, the Leading Partner of the Tax Department, with regard to the results.
“I am very grateful to receive this award. For me the result is not only a personal award, but primarily recognition of the entire value added tax team in Mazars,” added award recipient Petr Drahoš.
