Mototechna sells 7,000 nearly new cars by the end of November this year

During the first eleven months of this year, the Mototechna nearly new car brand sold nearly 7,000 cars and its share in AAA AUTO Group’s total sales rose to 16%. Mototechna, which was re-launched onto the market in 2012, currently offers 1,200 nearly new cars of practically all the marques present on the Czech market. Compared to the long waiting periods for new vehicles, which may be over a year, nearly new vehicles from Mototechna are available immediately.

During the first eleven months of this year, the Mototechna nearly new car brand sold nearly 7,000 cars and its share in AAA AUTO Group’s total sales rose to 16%. Mototechna, which was re-launched onto the market in 2012, currently offers 1,200 nearly new cars of practically all the marques present on the Czech market. Compared to the long waiting periods for new vehicles, which may be over a year, nearly new vehicles from Mototechna are available immediately.

“According to our studies, Mototechna sales are affected by sales of new cars, which also grew considerably in November, in spite of the fact that the main season is ending. This is why we expect stable demand for nearly new cars until the end of the year. Tax optimisation is also an important factor and it always boosts Mototechna car sales in December, as the brand’s customers include a large percentage of business people and companies, as well as private buyers,“ says Mototechna brand director Stanislav Gálik.

With seven thousand cars sold from January to November, Mototechna’s sales of nearly new cars rose by nearly ten percent compared to the same period last year. A quarter of these had diesel engines and 75% had petrol engines. The percentage of cars with petrol engines increased by five per cent compared to last year. Skoda marque vehicles registered the greatest rise in numbers, with an increase of 25%. Skoda vehicles also occupied the first three places of the TOP 10 best-selling cars list, and the Skoda Fabia was the most successful. In relation to the type of chassis, SUV vehicles registered the greatest increase (+18%) and MPV vehicles registered the greatest fall in numbers (-21%).

Thanks to high demand for nearly new cars, Mototechna is making an increasing contribution to total sales growth at the AAA AUTO Group, accounting for approximately ten per cent of the estimated total of over 75,000 vehicles this year. In the Czech Republic, Mototechna sales contribute sixteen per cent to the group’s total sales.
