Prestige:
More than 210 companies have joined the competition since the first year in 2014. The chairwoman of the jury is the renowned architect Eva Jiřičná, with leading companies in their fields. The competition was created in the Czech Republic and has gained an international character, where it has expanded to Slovakia, Austria and Romania.
The professional jury is composed of Eva Jiřičná, Biljana Weber - Microsoft, Marie Passburg - Skanska, Richard Curran - CBRE, Tomáš Jindříšek – Dark Side, Pavel Maurer and Josef Němec – Němec - luxurious places that were chosen on the basis of the evaluation criteria in terms of design, originality, innovation, practicality and attractive working environment for employees, of which they personally visited some of the companies.
Eva Jiřičná, renowned architect and jury president of CBRE Meeting Room of the Year said:
“From a design perspective, attention to the offices this year is significantly bigger and reflected in the better quality than in previous years. Lighting and light quality in offices should be given more emphasis, together with the furniture, exteriors and job placements.”
This year’s winners of the CBRE Meeting Room of the Year competition show how quickly changes have come to the office environment. While the numbers of offices that have followed new office trends have been minimal in past years, a few years later unique layouts and elements in the office have emerged. This change is possible thanks to innovations and technologies that will bring new trends.
Petra Lávičková, Head of Marketing & PR at CBRE, the organizer of CBRE Meeting Room of the Year, said:
"I am very glad that the CBRE Meeting Room of the Year competition has fulfilled its primary purpose, helping to educate and inspire the market through sharing information, videos and photos of participants in the project. The project highlights offices which are among the “top” on the Czech market and the ceremony has become one of the biggest events in its field. However, the competition would not be possible without the support of our partners and judges and for that they deserve a big thank you."
