Hilton Prague Hosts The Slovenian Food Festival

Hilton Prague is proud to announce it will be hosting the Slovenian Food Festival from June 1 to June 7 in cooperation with the Slovenian Embassy in the Czech Republic. H.E. Mrs. Smiljana Knez, Ambassador of the Slovenian Republic, will officially inaugurate the festival on May 31.

Guests have a unique opportunity to get to know Slovenian culture, taste traditional dishes prepared by guest chefs from Slovenia and listen to the national folklore music.

Andrej Ravnik and Gregor Rozman will be the guest chefs during the festival in the Hilton Prague preparing authentic Slovenian cuisine. Andrej works as a sous chef in the 5-star Grand Hotel Toplice and Gregor is an executive chef in the Panorama hotel restaurant. Both restaurants belong to the Sava Hotels & Resorts, the largest company in Slovenia operating hotels, apartment resorts and campsites. Both chefs has taken part in various culinary competitions and their cuisine is based on fresh ingredients and use of a modern twist with traditional dishes.

Slovenia is a country of great diversity, as much for its tradition and customs. This reflects in the traditional products, such as ham of Prekmurje, Slovenian honey or Mohant cheese. The festival will offer guests the opportunity to taste typical dishes like Prekmurska cake or Idrija dumplings, and also a selection of Slovenian wines.

Lunch and dinner buffets will be served at Hilton Prague’s Café Bistro. The restaurant will be decorated with Slovenia inspired decor to truly set the scene and to create an authentic Slovenian experience. On June 1, guests can enjoy performances by a folklore group Zidan Parazol.

Slovenian Food Festival will be held from June 1 to June 7, 2012 at the Café Bistro. Lunch will be served from 11.30am to 2.30pm and dinner will be served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.  Price per person is 860 CZK per person and includes an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring traditional starters, main courses, side dishes and desserts and a glass of Slovenian wine.

Reservations on +420 224 842 700 or e-mail restaurants.prague@hilton.com.
