Art Workshops for Adults

Park Lane International School presents an art workshop for adults interested in 2D art.

Day  and time: The workshop will run on Thursday evenings beginning at 6pm and concluding between 7.15 and 7.30pm.

Starting day: Week one will commence on the 20th March.

The course will run for an initial 6 weeks

Price: The price for each of the 6 week blocks is 2500CZK per person. All resources supplied.

The club will need a minimum of 6 parents and can accommodate a maximum of 12 parents to be able to take place.

Aim of the workshop

  • To improve developing skills
  • To introduce art to those parents who would like to try it for themselves
  • To develop our questioning about art
  • To develop our notion of aesthetics
  • To investigate and experiment with different media

Outline of the first 6 week workshop beginning on Thursday 20th March


Week 1


Introduction to drawing techniques and orientation of materials and outlining of the course.


Week 2


Approaches to drawing techniques.


Week 3


Using colour to create tone and shade.


Week 4


Different techniques to improve drawing and an insight into different ways in which marks create various expressive images.


Week 5


Tone and line together and how this combination can be most expressive.


Week 6


Final piece combining the line and tone skills on a subject matter of individual choice.
