European Recovery and Resilience Fund – What Is It and What You Need to Know From a State Aid Perspective

The European Recovery and Resilience Fund will be implemented in 2021 and will provide opportunities and challenges for member states and companies across the EU. The European Commission will scrutinise national strategies where the fund is implemented, ensuring a level playing field under EU state aid law. We are offering an update session on the key concepts of EU state aid law, its application and possible scenarios arising from the implementation of the European Recovery and Resilience Fund to ensure companies are prepared to mitigate any threats and maximise the opportunities the implementation of this new fund may present for them.

This session is being provided by Brian HartnettFrancesco LiberatoreWill SparksOliver Geiss and Tatiana Siakka, as well as other members of our firm, and is intended, in particular, for in-house legal and public policy affairs teams.

Agenda:

  • Key Concepts of state aid law
  • Recovery Fund
  • Procedural aspects
