Allen & Overy announces the promotion of Petr Vybíral and Jan Skuhravý to Counsel

Allen & Overy has announced today that senior associates Petr Vybíral and Jan Skuhravý have been promoted to Counsel. The promotions come into effect on 1 May 2019.

Since joining Allen & Overy in 2006, Petr has advised major financial institutions, corporations and large investment groups on a wide range of financing and capital markets transactions as well as securities, capital markets and other banking and financial regulations in the Czech Republic and assisted in the preparation of their standard documentation in all these areas. He is a member of the Appeals Committee of the Czech National Bank and is well known for his unique expertise in the field of covered bonds and other types of secured financings. Petr graduated from the School of Law of Charles University in Prague and the University of Economics in Prague in 2006 and obtained his LL.M. at Columbia Law School in New York in 2010. Petr has been regularly recognized as a leading lawyer on the Czech market in relevant high profile legal directories. Chambers said of Petr: “Petr Vybiral is a towering figure in the area of capital markets and receives glowing praise from peers and clients alike.”

Jan is a member of our Projects, Energy & Infrastructure Group based in London, specialising in acquisitions, financings and refinancings of infrastructure assets with a particular focus on transactions in Central and Eastern Europe. He advises sponsors, borrowers and debt providers on a broad range of transactions in the infrastructure sector. As senior associate, Jan has  advised on a number of recent significant  deals, including in relation to the acquisition of an interest in EP Infrastructure and on the financing of the Bina Istra Motorway. Jan is dual-qualified in England & Wales and the Czech Republic.
